Mauricio Umansky Discusses His Current Relationship with Rick Hilton
"At the end of the day, time heals everything," The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills husband said.
Kyle Richards has been an open book when it comes to the ups and downs she has experienced with her family over the years. And in Season 8 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she shared how her husband Mauricio Umansky's decision to leave Hilton & Hyland to start his own real estate firm, which would eventually be called The Agency, contributed to the tension in her family.
"My husband for years worked for my brother-in-law. Then he went off on his own like people do," Kyle shared in an interview during one episode in which she opened up to Dorit Kemsley about her family issues as she worked on her TV series American Woman (clip above). "That doesn't always work well in the family dynamic, and it can complicate things. I love my sisters a lot. It's very complicated."
However, it appears that Mauricio and Kyle's brother-in-law Rick Hilton, who co-founded Hilton & Hyland with Jeff Hyland in 1993, have made some major strides in repairing their relationship recently. "We’re good. We’ve made up, we’re family. The families have made up. We’ve been good for over a year," Mauricio said during a recent interview with Inman. "We were definitely in a fight for a while. And it was real. But the families have made up and it was fantastic. We’ve been good for solidly over a year."
Mauricio told Inman that he believes that time and just getting together as a family have helped them all get to a better place. "At the end of the day, time heals everything. Eventually when you put family together for different events — Christmas, Thanksgiving, a birthday party — time eventually heals it," he said. "And I think that’s what happened with us. And thank God."
Kyle appeared to be on good terms with her sisters Kathy Hilton and Kim Richards last season of RHOBH, even running into them both at the same restaurant on the same night. They've also come together to celebrate each other's birthdays as of late.
