Luis D. Ortiz Confirms He's Expecting a Baby Girl: "Seriously, I'm Having a Kid"
The MDLNY agent confirmed that he's going to be a first-time dad.
We did not see that coming. Luis D. Ortiz dropped a major bit of personal news during Million Dollar Listing New York's Thursday (August 15) episode during which he confirmed that he was expecting a baby daughter, making him a first-time dad(!!).
Yes, you read that right: Luis confirmed he's expecting a child during this week's MDLNY. However, he didn't reveal any other details about the news, including the details on who he is starting a family with, but still he did confirm that he's ready to kick off this next chapter.
"It's crazy how much things have transpired since the time I left New York. It's very beautiful to see it," he said in interview, while reflecting on meeting his longtime business associate Ronita's daughter for the first time. "I've been through a lot these past two years, a lot of ups, a lot of downs. But everyday gets better, and seeing this only makes me happy. It puts no pressure on me 'cause I have my own time. And I can't have all these beautiful things right now if there's a big part of me that's broke and I need to fix that first before I go on a have a family and have kids. Wow, that hit a f---ing nerve."
He then revealed his happy news, fighting back tears: "I hope that's not true — and that I have to fix myself before I have a kid — because I am having a kid. Yeah, seriously. I'm having a kid. I'm having a baby girl."
It's been an emotional ride for Luis the last couple years. He stepped away from real estate, NYC, and MDLNY after Season 5. He then went on a lengthy break from it all to return for Season 8 of MLDNY, and earlier this season he confirmed his return back to New York City, as well as his plans to work in the real estate game again.
Luis is obviously not the only papa among the Big Apple agents as he joins Fredrik Eklund, Ryan Serhant, and Steve Gold in the MDLNY hot dad's club.
