Melissa Gorga Reveals How She Really Feels About Joe Giudice: “We Were Never Besties”
The RHONJ mom is admitting that she "never thought" Joe Giudice "was the greatest."
Melissa Gorga is getting candid about Joe Giudice, following his reported split from her sister-in-law, Teresa Giudice. The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom wasn’t afraid to share her brutally honest feelings about Joe in a recent interview, admitting that they’ve never been particularly close.
While appearing on an episode of Jonathan Cheban’s podcast FoodGod, Melissa confessed that she hasn’t had a great relationship with Joe throughout the years. “I’m really not close to him. I never was and I’m not gonna deny it,” the Envy boutique owner said.” We were never besties…I never thought he was the greatest.”
Melissa went on to open up about Joe and Teresa’s recent separation, stating that the family was hoping for a happier resolution in the interests of the former couple’s four shared daughters. However, with Joe still in Italy awaiting the final decision in his ongoing deportation case, Melissa acknowledged that it may best for everyone to move on.
“It’s time to make new lives. I think they’ve both accepted it,” she stated. “The only thing everybody was holding on for is, obviously, the kids, because they want their kids to have their parents together. But sometimes it just doesn’t work out and it’s not working out because they live in two different countries at this point, so it is what it is.”
And it seems her husband, Joe Gorga, feels the same way, with the two opting to stop following Joe Giudice on social media. “My husband unfollowed him on Instagram because he thinks he’s crazy on Instagram,” Melissa revealed.
This isn’t the first time Melissa has spoken out on Teresa and Joe’s split. During a Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen appearance earlier this month, she suggested that she would be happy to see Teresa move on with her pool guy, Tony Delorenzo, although she says their relationship is currently platonic. “I would love for her to end up with Tony, but I honestly don't think that's going to happen,” she said at the time.
