We Have a Major Update on Mercedes "MJ" Javid's Future

Mercedes "MJ" Javid hasn't even finished her first month of motherhood yet, and already she's thinking about the future of her family.

The Shahs of Sunset mom recently shared with Us Weekly that she's already started thinking about having another child with husband Tommy Feight. The couple has less than 12 embryos left after getting pregnant with their first child via IVF, MJ told Us Weekly.

But MJ knows it's really too soon to think about growing her family now. “Some of the times I think about baby No. 2, and then I say, ‘Shut up. Enjoy the moment. You’ll get there when you get there,’” she said.

As for how Tommy feels about the thought of becoming a dad of two, MJ said, “He’ll do whatever I say.”

MJ and Tommy welcomed son Shams Francis Feight on April 17 in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, those first few joy-filled moments post-birth were short-lived as MJ was taken to the ICU after encountering "a ton of complications," Tommy shared in a video posted to Instagram shortly after the birth of his son.

MJ later opened up to Us Weekly about her health scare following her baby's delivery, which was an emergency C-section. “During my delivery, I lost two thirds of my body’s blood supply, requiring 19 units of blood during the surgery, then [was] intubated and placed in ICU from having significant fluid in my lungs after my C-section,” she told the publication.

Because of everything she and Tommy faced following the birth of their son, MJ told E! News earlier this month she would not carry another baby in the future. "I don't think that I would... I think that would be a better route for someone half my age to be a gestational surrogate," she shared. "The wounds are fresh literally and emotionally."

However, MJ recently told Us Weekly all of the challenges she and Tommy have faced on the road to parenthood have only made them stronger. “For couples to really get to know each other, you have to go through things,” she said. “When my father fell ill, [my husband] showed up for me, and when I was going crazy on the [IVF] hormone medication, he showed up for me, and so it builds a really strong foundation that I’m extremely appreciative of.”
