MJ Calls Mom-to-Be GG "a Great Example to Inspire Other Women"

There are two mom journeys taking place on Season 8 of Shahs of Sunset. Mercedes "MJ" Javid is settling into her new life as a mom to her son, Shams, who was born at the beginning of the season, while Golnesa "GG" Gharachedaghi is in the process of trying to have a baby on her own via IVF throughout Season 8.

Last year, ahead of the premiere, GG confirmed that she is pregnant with her first child, and MJ is excited these days to see her finally make her dream of motherhood come true.

"I really am excited for Golnesa to be a mom and I'm so glad that we're doing it at the same time," MJ told The Daily Dish during a recent interview. "And I know that she's going to be a great example to inspire other women for doing it on her own."

MJ is hoping that when the mom-to-be meets her little tot, she feels that same "shift" she did. "And I know a lot of women who did that [on their own] and are so ecstatic," MJ added. "So it's just a beautiful thing. I hope she feels a shift as much as I have."

Shams will turn 1 this April and shortly thereafter, GG should be having her child. She previously confirmed at BravoCon that she's due in May.

MJ then explained how much she changed since she became a mom. "That was the weird thing: Until you're a mom, there's such a disconnect between everyone else's experience," she said, noting that as everyone in the Shahs inner circle progresses closer to parenthood, then they might get it, too.

She continued, "So as soon as other people experience what I have, I think it's going to give them a huge 'aha' moment. They're gonna be like 'Holy s--t. I had no idea.' And you don't know what you don't know."
