How the Southern Charm Cast Really Felt About *That* News Story on Taylor Ann Green & Austen Kroll

The Austen Kroll, Taylor Ann Green, and Olivia Flowers drama reached a whole 'nother level during Southern Charm Season 9, Episode 12 on December 7. Why? Because while the trio was on vacation in Jamaica with fellow cast members Shep Rose, Craig Conover, Madison LeCroy, Venita Aspen, Rod Razavi, and Jarrett "JT" Thomas, a news report about Austen and Taylor's hookup broke, sending Olivia — and much of Charleston — into a tailspin.
The group was, of course, already aware that Austen and Taylor had previously kissed, but the renewed attention resulted in even more drama than before. To find out how, keep reading.
How the Southern Charm Cast Reacted to the News Story About Austen and Taylor
Theorizing about who may have spoken to the press, Taylor said in a confessional interview, "Why somebody had to stir the pot, I don't know."
What's more, she also told Madison, "I've apologized [to Olivia] multiple times, but for some reason now it keeps coming up. My friend just texted me and she was like, 'Please tell me you didn't sleep with Austen.' I was like, 'What?'"
Taylor wasn't the only one to be notified of the story's existence, though. Olivia said, "I didn't want to read the article. Of course I'm upset about it," while Austen noted in a confessional, "When that thing dropped, I was just like, 'This is my nightmare right now.'"
Shep was also feeling a certain type of way, but for different reasons than Austen. "It's just upsetting and somehow it's more real when you read about something even though you already knew about it and you're trying to quote-unquote 'heal,' right?" he said. "It just opens the wound."
Still, he wanted to show his support for Taylor, noting, "I wanna help her weather the storm, I guess."
Madison also offered to help by giving Taylor and Austen some advice: "Why don't you guys, together, set the record straight in front of everybody? Or you can just say 'Hey, shut the f-ck up. There's no point in talking about it. We kissed one time — get over it or don't.'"
Leva Bonaparte and Jarrett "JT" Thomas Speculate About Taylor and Austen
Among the many people to check up on Olivia amid the article's publication was Leva Bonaparte. She didn't just offer her support, though — she also expressed her opinion about what might have gone down between Taylor and Austen. "I think that the person you need to lean into is JT. He has said he's picked [Taylor] up for dates from Austen's," Leva told Olivia, much to her surprise.
What's more, Leva added, "I'm so angry with the two of them for your sake because I, at this point, truly believe they've hooked up more than one time."
JT, for his part, revealed, "I think what Leva was saying is at the Day Chaser event, Taylor got her wires crossed ... I go, 'Was it one sleepover?' [and] she said it was 'multiple sleepovers.'"
Olivia's reaction to the situation? "The more and more I think about it — just this entire situation — the more I think about it, the more angry I get. And the more it doesn't make sense. And I feel like an idiot."
Taylor and Austen, however, continue to maintain that they only kissed on one occasion.
