Dr. Paul Nassif and Brittany Patakos are currently counting down the months until they welcome their daughter into their lives. The couple, who wed last October, will officially have a little girl in their lives come this October. And when The Daily Dish recently chatted with the couple, they each shared why they are excited to have a little girl later this year.
"Well, I think, I think that they’re gonna adapt to it. They love babies as it is. So I know that once she’s here they’re gonna be like 'Eh, let me hold her,' you know," Brittany said in a phone call last week, laughing. "They really wanted a boy. But I’m like, 'No, this family needs a girl.' So we got super lucky that we got a girl. I was so worried that we were gonna get a boy 'cause he has all boys. Yeah, I was like I can’t be the only one in this family," she added with a laugh.
The first-time mom also revealed why Paul is so excited to have a daughter.
"We don’t have names picked out. I mean he would love to call her, this is what he would love: He would love to call her Paulina. Because it has Paul in it," she said with a laugh. "But I have no idea. I haven’t thought that far ahead. I know her middle name will be Anne, because that’s his mom’s name. But we haven’t really thought that far ahead. I feel like once you’re kind of further along, you kind of get a little bit more of an idea. But right now, I can’t say so much we’re doing like the whole honeymoon couple thing until she’s born because we already have three boys in the house. So it’s already busy as it is. So, it’s already like we’re already doing that. Just not with babies. We’re doing it with older kids."
This is the first child for Brittany, but, clearly, the first baby girl for Paul, who reiterated on the call his plans to try and make the name Paulina happen.
"I’m most excited about having a baby girl because I’ve always wanted the name, you already know the name I want. I want Paulina. But of course I don’t know if she likes that, 'cause I need a baby Paul somewhere," The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum and Botched doctor (which airs Mondays on E!). said. "What am I most nervous about? I’m nervous about obviously when the baby is born that, you know, everything is gonna be okay. Obviously, you’re nervous about the baby being healthy. Is she gonna be irritable? You know, is she gonna be able to take the bottle, or breastfeed well? You get the normal [worries] when it’s a newborn, even though I’ve been there, done that with three kids. But obviously, it’s the new baby, [and] I’m gonna be nervous to make sure that everything is OK. And also, you know, nervous and worried, but in a positive way, that Brittany will be doing OK also, of course."
