Lauren Williams Calls Porsha "Fearless" Following Arrest at Breonna Taylor Protest
RHOA pals Tanya Sam and Shamea Morton also showed support for Porsha Williams, who has since been released.
Following Porsha Williams' arrest in Louisville, Kentucky on July 14 during a protest for Breonna Taylor at the home of Attorney General Daniel Cameron, her sister, Lauren Williams, has taken to Instagram to show her support for the work The Real Housewives of Atlanta mom is doing as an activist in the Black Lives Matter movement.
"She has always been fearless. You mess with her people, you mess with her. She takes the case of #breonnataylor personally and she’s sacrificing work, time with her loved ones, and her comfort to make sure the offenders are held accountable for their actions. This is her passion, this is her purpose. God please protect them," Lauren wrote about her sister, noting that she is continuing in the legacy of social activism that their grandfather, Rev. Hosea Williams, was a pioneer in during the Civil Rights Movement (more on that above).
According to NBC News, Taylor was in her apartment when she was shot and killed by Louisville police on March 13. An investigation is currently underway. The EMT would have turned 27 last month. At that time Porsha and Lauren attended a Say Her Name March in Atlanta in honor of the Black women who have died at the hands of police officers, including Taylor.
Porsha has since been released from custody, which Lauren also confirmed on Instagram.
Porsha also received support from RHOA pals Tanya Sam and Shamea Morton in the wake of the incident in Louisville.
