Here's What Simon Guobadia Really Thinks About Porsha Williams’ Memoir
The RHOA: Porsha's Family Matters fiancé shares his reaction — and makes an unexpected announcement — upon reading The Pursuit of Porsha.
If there's one thing we've learned about Porsha Williams' fiancé, Simon Guobadia, it's that he doesn't hold back when it comes to expressing his thoughts. The Real Housewives of Atlanta: Porsha's Family Matters cast member and her fiancé have both been open about their relationship and, recently, Simon made sure to share exactly how he felt upon reading Porsha's new memoir, The Pursuit of Porsha.
"I started to read [The Pursuit of Porsha] many weeks ago, but decided NOT to continue because I had mixed feelings," Simon wrote in the lengthy caption of his December 9 post. He added, "While some of the details about the book has come up in discussion since our whirlwind romance began, I was still unsure if I wanted to know about this woman’s past because her past mistakes [were] not relevant in my opinion to who this woman is today. I did not want my feelings about her tainted by what she had chosen to share with the rest of the world. I wondered if I’d love her less for her past by unconsciously judging her (which is unimaginable) or would I love her more for her courage."
Simon continued, adding a revealing update about his hopeful plans for Porsha and their family, "After 3 hours of nonstop reading, I’m half way through the book, I’m almost done. Let’s just say from what I have read thus far, my love for [Porsha] has grown exponentially, and I’m ready to put a baby in this about-to-be Best Selling Author. That how good this book is."
In addition to his thoughts on Porsha's book, Simon also opened up about his own personal history and cultural background, which also came up during a family cookout in a recent episode of RHOA: Porsha's Family Matters.
"My Nigerian culture and law allows for a man to have multiple wives, and this can vary by regions and part of Nigeria," he wrote in the caption of his December 9 Instagram post, adding, "The reality however is that most Nigerian relationships today are one man, one wife. I have a responsibility to ensure I’m accurate in my utterances regardless of the platform I use to share my opinions and thoughts."
Though Simon and Porsha have grappled with many questions concerning their whirlwind romance, the pair have shared lots of special bonding moments together since their engagement. Simon recently took to Instagram to share his excitement over their upcoming nuptials, writing in the caption of his December 9 post, "Getting this body and mind right for this wedding."
