Porsha Williams Reveals What Her Texts with Gizelle Bryant Are Really Like
The RHOA: Porsha's Family Matters cast member has "an interesting perspective" on the Potomac Housewife, according to Andy Cohen.
When Porsha Williams isn't sharing her life on The Real Housewives of Atlanta: Porsha's Family Matters, she's keeping up with some of the other Bravo shows, including The Real Housewives of Potomac. In fact, when Porsha stopped by the Clubhouse during the November 28 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, she shared that she is "a superfan" of RHOP.
Porsha actually has a pretty close connection to RHOP. She and Gizelle Bryant have worked together as co-hosts of Bravo's Chat Room. And it was while filming that series that Porsha said that she and Gizelle really bonded during her appearance on WWHL.
Porsha gave fans even more insight into her friendship with Gizelle during the WWHL After Show, including what their text conversations are like. "Yeah, I texted her after you were talking about [Gizelle's ex-husband Jamal Bryant] and stuff [at the RHOP reunion]," Porsha told Andy Cohen in the above clip. "And then I talked to her also about Karen [Huger], you know, coming to her."
She then went on to share one of the things she admires about Gizelle after watching her on RHOP for all of these years. "Here's the thing: The show is the show. We all sign up to have our lives be seen on the show. Everything is real. The thing about Gizelle to me that inspires me is how she don't give a s--t," Porsha explained. "And it's not because she just doesn't care, like, flippant; it's because she knows what the truth is for her. So when she has reconciled with the truth for her, she just doesn't give a damn, and I like that."
Andy then said that Porsha had "an interesting perspective" on Gizelle.
Earlier in this installment of WWHL, Porsha tackled several RHOP topics from Season 6 (clip below), and she came to Gizelle's defense in regards to the criticism of her home, as well as her lack of emotion when it came to her breakup with Jamal. "Gizelle is a gangster, and she's a real woman, a mother, a lover," Porsha said of Gizelle's seemingly reserved demeanor following her split. "And let me tell you something, when a woman is hurt, we're not ever gonna cry the same tears. So that's not to say she wasn't hurt; she's just not gonna cry the same tears."
Gizelle has also been there for Porsha in recent months. Following Porsha's engagement to Simon Guobadia, Gizelle gave her friend's new fiancé her seal of approval. "And I met him; he's amazing!" Gizelle said during an appearance on WWHL in July. "I'm looking for a Simon; he's amazing."
Gizelle added of the recent engagement, "I tell Porsha to be happy, and she is beyond happy."
