Porsha Williams on All Those Babies on Season 12 RHOA: "I Thought It Was Really Special"
The RHOA cast member opens up about the number of babies featured on Season 12.
It seems like everywhere you look this season on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, there's baby talk. Season 12 of RHOA isn't just about drama and beefs, but is also focused on the softer side of life with the ladies.
At the time the season was being filmed, Porsha Williams had recently welcomed a baby, as had Kenya Moore (firsts for both women). Eva Marcille welcomed her third child right there in the middle of the season. And, Kandi Burruss was expecting her third child, via surrogate (she's since welcomed daughter Blaze).
The Daily Dish spoke to Porsha ahead of the April 5 episode, in which she opened up about her own struggles with fertility, including a miscarriage several years ago. When The Daily Dish chatted with Porsha over the phone, she shared her take on why Season 12 is the season of babies one year after she welcomed daughter Pilar Jhena McKinley.
"I think we all kind of were talking about it around the same time, you know. Kenya was working on — was going through IVF for a certain amount of time. And I had been really focused on it and just thinking, wondering when I was gonna find love and when I’d start a family," she said. "And it just kind of all happened at the same time. Like it wasn’t really a surprise."
And it's definitely something unique for the group to experience all at the same time. "I thought it was really special that we all were going through it. We could all relate to each other. But I wasn’t really surprised," she said.
