Ramona Singer's Daughter Avery Has Some Big Plans After She Graduates College
The #RHONY mom also opens up about painting the town red with her daughter.
You might want to sit down for this: Avery Singer is graduating from college this month. Yes, Ramona Singer's little girl is all grown up.
"It's really wild. My daughter today, Avery is turning 22 years old. I mean who would have thought this would happen so quickly?" Ramona recently told The Daily Dish. "It just seems like yesterday she was born and she's graduating college and it's very exciting."
Once Avery has her diploma in hand, she actually has quite the adventure planned out for her first post college experience. "And when she graduates, she's going to Asia for a month with her friends," The Real Housewives of New York City mom said. "You know, it's very interesting to see how Avery has evolved from the show. When she first started filming 10 years ago, she was 12 years old. This little skinny mini. Now she's taller than me. She has a very beautiful figure. She's a beautiful person inside and out and she's remarkable."
In fact, Ramona and Avery are BFFs who do everything together. "I took her [on] a trip, just the two of us to London and Paris. And our last night in Paris she said, 'You know what, Mom? You're just not just my mom, you're my best friend.' And that just gave me goosebumps," she said. "We have this bond that is I can't explain it, but it makes me happy. She texts me photos every day and when I went to her college we're doing pre-gaming shots. And then we go to her party, her sorority party, and it's a dance party and all her girlfriends come out on the dance floor like, 'Ramona, Ramona.' We're all dancing and having fun."
Ramona and Avery's dad, Mario Singer, separated in 2014 and finalized their divorce in September 2016. Though Ramona says even before the split, she and Avery were always tight. "I don't know if the divorce made us closer. Probably it did, but we were always close. I think even my ex was a little jealous of our relationship," she said, before revealing the secret to their tight-knit mother-daughter bond. "I never talk down to Avery ever. I never talk to her as an authority. I always gave her choices. I always spoke to her as an intellectual woman and I always included her in whatever I was doing in business and I exposed it to her. So she has a really great head on her shoulders."
