Raquel Leviss Reflects on Filing a Restraining Order Against Scheana Shay
The Vanderpump Rules castmates discussed the since-dismissed temporary restraining order during Part 2 of the Season 10 reunion.
Andy Cohen announced at the beginning of the three-part Vanderpump Rules Season 10 reunion that prior to the taping, Raquel Leviss had filed a temporary restraining order against Scheana Shay, which meant the castmates couldn’t come within 100 yards of each other, let alone film together. However, Raquel revealed during her one-on-one sit-down with Andy that she was actually in the process of dropping the restraining order. (Per E! News, it was officially dropped on March 29.)
“I completely regret filing the restraining order, and I’ve been taking every measure to get it dropped,” Raquel explained on Part 2 of the Vanderpump Rules reunion, which aired May 31. “I spoke with my lawyer, and he was able to file a request to dismiss the court hearing altogether.”
She then handed Andy “paperwork showing that for Scheana,” and Andy made sure to deliver it to Scheana during her portion of the reunion with the rest of the Vanderpump Rules cast.
Scheana became emotional upon hearing the news that the restraining order was going to be dropped, but it wasn’t until Lala Kent weighed in that she really began to break down in tears.
“This thrills me,” Lala told Scheana. “I know you did nothing wrong, and I know you and your legal team were like, ‘Let’s f-cking go,’ [but] the court system is a f-cking bitch and I’m so glad you can be present with your kid.”
Lala turned to the group to add, “This has, like, really taken its toll on her.” Then Scheana explained how.
“Having this for the last few weeks, first of all, the betrayal of two of my best friends, that is heartbreaking in itself, but then to throw all of this on top of it, when I did nothing but take care of her,” Scheana said, crying. “I gave her a home to live in when she didn’t have anywhere to go. I was the sister to her that she didn’t have growing up. I did everything for her, and for her to do this to me, it has taken such a toll on me. I have not been able to be completely present for my daughter, I have all this legal sh-t. My daughter sees me crying, then she starts crying.”
Scheana explained that she was especially hurt because she had given both Raquel and Tom Sandoval the opportunity to come clean about their affair, only for them to adamantly deny anything was going on. Referencing a specific conversation she had with Raquel, Scheana recalled, “When I had a suspicion, I said, ‘I know you’re better than this, I know you would never do this.’ She goes, ‘Never.’ I said, ‘Please don’t ever do anything that’s gonna make me have to be apart from you. Ariana and I have been ride-or-die for you. I love you so much. Don’t do anything to ever change that.’ And she said, ‘I promise I wouldn’t, Scheana, I would never do that.’ I trusted her with everything. Everything.”
Raquel obviously couldn’t respond in the moment, but while watching from her trailer 100 yards away, she said, “Now I’m thinking I should’ve wrote Scheana a personal note. As things are unfolding, it’s like more realizations and more regrets.”
Tom, meanwhile, issued an apology in person. “Scheana, I’m really sorry. This situation is something that spiraled way, way out of control,” he said. “But it doesn’t mean that the last, like, 15 years we’ve known each other I’ve been being a fake person for up until the past eight months. That should tell you, Scheana, that we did not do this maliciously.”
Ariana chimed in at that point to argue that the affair was “malicious” and the conversation continued from there, but one thing was made clear: Scheana said she “never” plans to be friends with Tom or Raquel again.
