Eva Marcille Has Feelings About Marlo’s Drama with Kandi on RHOA, and Kenya & Cynthia’s RHUGT Tensions
Eva Marcille revealed all her thoughts about some RHOA and RHUGT hot topics.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta fans will recall that when Eva Marcille was on RHOA, she had some drama with Marlo Hampton. Eva is no longer on RHOA, and these days, Marlo is officially a peach holder in Season 14 — and Eva has feelings about that. She shared all when she appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on July 10.
“I feel like this was Marlo’s opportunity to go on Housewives and show the world who she really is. I don’t think she has had the opportunity, and she has a great pivot with these boys [her nephews] to become a better person,” she said during Sunday’s Clubhouse visit. “But for some reason, she likes to pick on my friend [Kandi Burruss], who I thought was her friend. And it’s like, ‘What are you doing?’”
Eva chats a bit more about that below.
In fact, the Kandi-Marlo drama was a topic on The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 14 After Show. More on that below.
During a conversation with The Daily Dish in early June, weeks before her WWHL appearance, Eva spoke about a recent run-in with Marlo and what she told her when they saw each other. “I did run into Marlo at a restaurant the other day. And I congratulated her,” she said, adding, “But I’m so excited for Marlo and her peach. And all that she’s doing. She’s wanted it for so long, and she deserves it. She puts out like nobody’s business, baby. I’m so happy for the place that she’s in.”
But that wasn’t the only RHOA-adjacent drama Eva commented on. She also weighed in on Kenya Moore and Cynthia Bailey’s falling-out following Season 1 of Peacock’s The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. She spoke to The Daily Dish about that topic, including if she had reached out to either woman for advice going into Season 2 (Eva is currently in the cast; new episodes drop every Thursday). “Lord no, they fell out,” she said. “I wouldn’t ask Kenya and Cynthia about advice for Girls Trip. That would be the worst advice ever.”
She went on to add, “Kenya and Cynthia are the best of friends. And they are at a great impasse after that show. So no, I didn’t go to them for advice. Lord no. They’re my real friends, so I can say it. I talk to Cynthia every single day. Like, that’s the last person I would have called for that advice.”
She also chatted about the Kenya-Cynthia of it all during WWHL, noting, “I felt like it was stupid. It was petty. And I wish they would have some ribs at my house, so we make it better.”
