Apollo Nida's Release from Prison Has Left Andy Cohen with Feelings
The RHOA alum was released from prison this week and the WWHL host asked all about it.
Earlier this week it was confirmed Apollo Nida has officially been released from prison and moved to a halfway house in Philadelphia where he is expected to stay until mid-October. The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Phaedra Parks' ex-husband finished his eight-year prison sentence for fraud and identity theft early after a federal judge had signed off on an order to reduce his prison sentence.
When Andy Cohen took to Twitter on Thursday to answer fan questions, one person wanted to know his thoughts on Apollo's release. The Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host kept his response short and sweet, sharing, "Happy for him!!"
During his marriage to Phaedra, Apollo's legal woes were documented on RHOA. Phaedra announced her plans to divorce the father of her two children in 2014 after five years of marriage; the reportedly reached a divorce settlement in 2017.
Since then, Apollo has become engaged to Sherien Almufti in 2016. She later made an appearance in Season 9 of RHOA.
As for Phaedra, who has two sons with Apollo — Ayden, 9, and Dylan, 6 — she reacted to her-husband's plans to wed in an interview with PEOPLE in January. “We have two beautiful sons together,” she said. “I’ll always be grateful for that. I’m hoping he will get married to whomever he is engaged to, honey, and he will be out of my hair.”
