Kandi Is “Not Surprised” by How Mama Joyce Feels About Estate Planning with Todd

RHOA cast member Kandi Burruss reveals new details about estate planning with Todd Tucker.

By Jocelyn Vena

Mama Joyce Jones has never been shy to express her opinion on any delicate matters over the years, as fans of The Real Housewives of Atlanta have learned. And that was certainly the case when it came time to share her take on Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker working on their estate planning, as seen in Season 14 of RHOA.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta on Peacock and the Bravo App.

Let’s just say Mama Joyce has certain feelings about how much Kandi’s spouse should get in the future (clip above).

“I’m not surprised how my mom feels,” Kandi says in The Real Housewives of Atlanta After Show clip above, in response to what Mama Joyce shared with her daughter during the season about how she should distribute her assets in her estate and how much Todd should get. (To quote Mama Joyce, “When you are gone, why are you gonna set somebody up with a lavish lifestyle?”)

While Kandi confirms in the RHOA After Show that she and Todd still have “a long way to go” when it comes to their estate planning, she does reveal that her conversation with her mom did change one thing for her in her “thought process” about the matter.

To find out what that is, you can check out the RHOA After Show clip above.

Kandi and Todd are parents to four kids — Ace, Blaze, Kaela, and Riley (Kaela and Riley are their kids from previous relationships) — and Joyce shared a certain philosophy on how she feels Kandi should split her assets among the kids. Still, for now, they’re in the process of working it all out.

“We’re gonna obviously have to separate our trusts,” Kandi says in the clip. “The trust together, we’re still gonna have some of those things where we bump heads on.”
