There’s no denying the integral — and truly iconic — role that Real Housewives’ moms have played in the lives of the 'Wives across the various franchises over the years. Not only have some of our favorite Housewives taken after their glorious mothers, but the Housewife moms have also given us some of our most memorable Bravo moments ever.

Andy Cohen recently paid homage to some his most favorite moms of the Housewives during the January 4 episode of Watch Watch Happens Live with Andy Cohen. After welcoming The Real Housewives of Miami Season 4 cast's virtual visit to the Clubhouse, the WWHL host took a moment to honor the much-beloved mother of RHOM's Marysol Patton, Elsa Patton lovingly known as Mama Elsa who passed away in 2019.

"Being back in Miami with these ladies has me missing a dear friend of ours who is very much alive in all of our hearts, Marysol’s mom, Mama Elsa," said Andy, adding, "So, in honor of her, we are counting down the Top 5 Housewife moms of all time."

Andy kicked off the countdown with none other than "Jersey's own" Marge Sr. The Real Housewives of New Jersey's Margaret Josephs' mom has definitely made her mark in her own very candid way, which has even caught Andy off guard in the past, as fans may remember the WWHL host completely "unprepared" for Marge Sr.'s Housewife tagline reveal during her own previous Clubhouse appearance.

The fourth spot went to The Real Housewives of New York City's Tinsley Mortimer's mom, Dale Mercer, who was always unforgettably outspoken when it came to her daughter's decisions about marriage and starting a family.

Next up was The Real Housewives of Dallas' Momma Dee, who as Andy so keenly noted probably wouldn't "give a rip" about making the list. But Momma Dee's daughter, RHOD's D'Andra Simmons, sure did, as she responded to Andy on Twitter, "Aww! Thank you for including [Momma Dee] on this list!"

Coming in at number 2 was The Real Housewives of Atlanta's very own Mama Joyce, Kandi Burruss's mom, who fans know is not one to ever mince words or hold back when it comes to sharing her thoughts.

Back in the Clubhouse, Andy bestowed the top Housewife mom distinction to none other than Mama Elsa, along with a touching video montage dedicated to Marysol's beloved mom's many iconic one-liners, style, and strong presence, which made her a standout fan favorite. Following the moving tribute, Andy said, "I love her, I know I speak for all of us when I say we miss you very much, Elsa."

Marysol took to Instagram to express her gratitude for the WWHL host's remembrance of Mama Elsa, writing, "Thank You For Always Keeping My Mother’s Memory Alive."
