Kenya Moore Says There Has Been "Some Movement" On Her Lengthy Divorce

At BravoCon, RHOA's Kenya Moore said she hopes the lengthy divorce is complete before the year's end.

It’s been years since Kenya Moore  filed for divorce from husband Marc Daly, but she’s confident this will finally be the year she becomes a single lady.

Kenya made the bold declaration at BravoCon 2023 during the “Viva Las Atlanta Peaches” panel on Friday, Nov. 3 in Las Vegas, where Kenya joined her fellow castmates from The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

“I know and I’m saying it right now, I will be single and divorced before 2024, so thank you!” she said. Kenya filed for divorce in 2021 — two years after she and Marc officially separated — but the divorce process has continued to drag out for years.

She shared Friday that there had been “some movement” in the case, although it still hasn’t been smooth sailing. While their divorce case initially got on the trial calendar, Kenya said they later “got bumped off the trial calendar,” delaying the lengthy proceedings once again.

“It’s like I can’t make this stuff up, you know what I mean?” she said.

Despite the delays, the model and actress is hopeful the divorce will be finalized before the year’s end and is hoping to manifest a successful resolution to the union's official end.

Although they may no longer be together, Kenya and Marc share parenting duties of their young daughter Brooklyn—who just happened to be celebrating her birthday on Friday.

When Kenya let the birthday news slip during the panel, her fellow Housewives were quick to join in on the celebration, all happily shouting “Happy Birthday Brooklyn!” in unison.

Kenya opened up earlier this year on the Tamron Hall Show about the struggles she’s faced trying to co-parent with her ex since their split.

“Well, we’re trying [to co-parent],” she said. “I’m very protective of my daughter and that’s her dad and he has been there in terms of speaking to her on FaceTime every day, but the fact of, like, seeing her in person has not been there. And that breaks my heart because I don’t want that for her. And even though now that’s her normal, but I don’t want that to be her normal. So we’re trying.”

She added that part of the reason the divorce had been drawn out so long was because the couple didn’t have a pre-nup in place before saying their “I dos” in 2017.
