This Is Why Erika Jayne Would Call Tom Girardi If She Got Arrested (Besides the Obvious)
The RHOBH performer has a top lawyer on speed dial.
Move over, Broadway, because here comes Erika Jayne. That's right, 2020 is the year that the pop singer takes over the Great White Way with a starring role as the glamorous and infamous murderer Roxie Hart in Chicago. And while Roxie calls upon Billy Flynn to be her legal counsel in the musical, Erika knows exactly who she would call if she ever got in trouble with the law.
"If I got arrested, god forbid, I think the first person I would call obviously would be [my husband] Tom [Girardi] because he would know who to come get me out," she told The Daily Dish during a press day at The Lamb’s Club in NYC on December 17 for her upcoming debut in Broadway's Chicago.
She reiterated, "My husband. Probably Tom, yes, and then we would call some criminal guy."
Well, Erika is at least pretending to be a criminal as the iconic Roxie in the equally-legendary musical — And this is why she believes that her stage character may be even sassier than her stage persona of Erika Jayne. "Because she killed somebody, I have not, so yeah," she joked.
So, if you want to see Roxie, we mean, Erika sass up the stage, buy your tickets now. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills performer's 12-week limited engagement in Chicago will begin on January 6, 2020 and go through March 29.
