Lisa Rinna and RHOBH Cast Remember Her Late Mom, Lois: “She Was Just Such a Light”
The June 8 episode of RHOBH paid tribute to Lisa Rinna’s mom, Lois, who passed away late last year.
The June 8 episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills took a somber turn as Lisa Rinna remembered her mom, Lois, who passed away late last year while Season 12 was filming.
“My mom passed in hospice and I’m still in shock, I think,” Lisa shared in an emotional interview in the episode, which was filmed at the time of her mother’s passing. “She was 93 and a half, so you know it’s coming, but you want to keep your loved one alive if you can.”
Lois passed away last November. “Lois DeAndrade Rinna / June 7, 1928 - November 15, 2021 5:05am / Heaven Has a New Angel,” Lisa shared on Instagram at the time. She posted the tribute alongside a throwback black-and-white photo of Lois. The news was confirmed just days after Lisa shared with fans that her mom had a stroke.
Lois definitely emerged as a fan favorite as RHOBH viewers got to know her over the course of notable appearances on the series. Lois was candid and outgoing, sharing with viewers insights into her life as well as her loving relationship with her famous daughter and family.
“The world loved her, and to be able to have shared her with the world is a great gift,” Lisa said during the June 8 episode, which featured her traveling to Mexico with the group as she dealt with the loss. “I hold that very close to my heart. She was such a good, good human being. She was just such a light. I’m pretty lucky that I come from that.”
Lisa further opened up about the June 8 episode of RHOBH in a series of emotional Instagram posts. “Tonight they do an absolutely beautiful tribute to my Mom,” Lisa shared ahead of the episode. Days prior, she reflected on that time in her life, writing alongside a memorable moment of Lois from one of her RHOBH cameos, “This is so hard for me. This week is the episode where my Mom passes. I’ve been dreading reliving this now for [six] months, but here we are. In honor of my mom let’s have a little chuckle together. We Love Lois.”
Lisa’s Instagram comments section quickly filled up with love, memories, and support from the RHOBH cast and Bravolebs, including Dorit Kemsley, Crystal Kung Minkoff, Erika Jayne, and Sutton Stracke, as well as Luann de Lesseps, Gretchen Rossi, Mercedes "MJ" Javid, and others.
Since her passing, Lois’ memory lives on as Lisa has shared many memories of her mom and has been candid about her ups and downs following the loss.
