Gretchen Rossi Has a Sweet Update on Her Mother-Daughter Relationship with Skylar

Gretchen Rossi is always one to keep it real when it comes to sharing the ups and downs of motherhood, whether she’s opening up about her struggles as a new mom or gushing about her adorable 1-year-old daughter, Skylar Gray Smiley. The Real Housewives of Orange County alum recently shared a precious update on what life with her little girl is like, including a super sweet description of Skylar’s personality.

In a December 29 Instagram post, Gretchen shared a few special photos of her Christmas celebration with Skylar. (In festive, matching emerald green dresses, of course.)

“The best gift I could have ever received was her. I always knew I wanted a little girl and I prayed for her my whole life. She’s very similar to her Mommy and just loves to play dress up! She picks out her dresses or outfits in the morning with the most gleeful expressions and she is so proud once she has her outfit on and twirls around in it,” Gretchen wrote. “She loves to sit with me at my vanity and pretend she is getting ready with me, and brush her own hair and pick out her bows. She is such a girly girl like me, and loves to match her Mommy!” 

Gretchen went on to explain the sweet bond the mother-daughter duo shares. 

“It is so much fun to do these things together and everything I dreamed having a little girl would be. But her beautiful inner spirit is the most beautiful thing about her. She literally lights up the room wherever she goes and people are drawn to her presence,” Gretchen wrote. “She has a special light to her and she seems to know perfectly when people need a hug or a smile. She is the most amazing little girl and I am just so proud to be her Mommy.”
