Here’s What Lenny Hochstein Said in *That* Hot Mic Moment on RHOM
The plastic surgeon discussed wanting to end his marriage during his wife’s “Good Vibes” party in Season 5 on Peacock.
Before Season 5 of The Real Housewives of Miami debuted on Peacock on Thursday, December 8, cast member Lisa Hochstein and her husband of nearly 13 years, Dr. Lenny Hochstein, confirmed they were divorcing.
Now that the season has officially premiered, viewers can get a glimpse of some of the things that happened between the spouses as their marriage was coming to an end. Early in Season 5, tensions rise in their marriage, and their issues come to a head on Episode 4 when the couple hosts a “Good Vibes”–themed pool party at their home.
“Lenny and I have been through downs, clearly, and ups. [Marriage] is like a roller coaster,” Lisa says to Julia Lemigova and Adriana De Moura. “You know why we stuck through together? It’s because, you know what, we know that the grass is not greener on the other side.”
Lisa recalled a piece of advice that Lenny’s mom offered her on their wedding day: “Hochsteins, we never divorce. We stick it out.”
While Lisa is mingling with their guests outside and sharing what will prove to be ominous words about her relationship, Lenny is having a discussion inside the house with a friend named Vito.
Vito tells Lenny that he’s “officially single,” and Lenny has an unexpected response. “In a couple months, I might be single too,” Lenny says. Vito wonders what the couple’s “issues” are. “Yeah, same stuff it’s always been, you know, ‘I do anything I want, whenever I want, and you stay home and go to work and come back,’” the plastic surgeon says.
Lenny adds that he talks to Lisa about this “all the time.” While Vito doesn’t want to see the couple part ways, Lenny shares another take on it and reveals that he and his wife haven’t been intimate. Though Lenny says he has talked to Lisa a lot about their problems, he says “nobody knows” what else is going on.
When Vito asks if Lenny is still wearing a microphone, the doctor says he is. “Why do you think I’m whispering?” Lenny asks.
