Are Jennifer and Bill Aydin Still in Couples Therapy? She Says…
After highlighting the difficulties in her marriage on RHONJ Season 13, Jennifer revealed a surprising update on her relationship.
After finally facing the fallout from Dr. Bill Aydin’s prior marital indiscretion during The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 12, Jennifer Aydin is trying to get back on track in her relationship.
The plastic surgeon and the mom of five met with Dr. Judy, a marital therapist, on Episode 6 of Season 13, though Bill was initially “against” the idea.
After their first session, Bill admitted to his wife that he found Dr. Judy to be “very insightful.” However, Jennifer questioned why her husband was “silent” during the meeting. “We do sometimes and often say stupid, inconsiderate, hurtful things, and we’re trying to help fix the situation,” Bill explained to his wife on the March 21 episode (which you can check out in the clip above), before adding that he wanted to take “small steps” to improve the marriage.
It looks like taking those “small steps” has paid off. Jennifer confirmed that, after one session, the spouses were able to make significant progress in their relationship and are no longer in therapy.
“Going to therapy, even though it was one session, it really meant something to him,” Jennifer shared about Bill’s surprising reaction to meeting with Dr. Judy during a recent chat with The U.S. Sun. “Sometimes when someone from the outside is giving you advice, you listen to it more than when it comes from your loved one… Things started working out on its own. We don’t even need therapy anymore. We’re like, ‘Why should we go to therapy? We’re great.’”
Jennifer’s marriage to Bill isn’t the only relationship of hers that has improved recently. During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on February 28, Jennifer revealed that she’s now on better terms with her mom, Josephine Altinel, after highlighting tensions in their relationship on Season 11.
“My relationship with my mother is great,” she told host Andy Cohen on WWHL, adding that her parents are also getting along better with each other. “And the relationship between my mother and father has been great. They’ve been co-existing [and] really respectful of one another.”
