Melissa Gorga Gives the Latest Update on “Upsetting” Teresa Giudice Drama

The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member also revealed what she “respects” about another Housewives franchise.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s familial drama is still going strong based on Melissa Gorga’s update on her and Joe Gorga’s strained relationship with Teresa Giudice.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 premiere May 5th at 8/7c on Bravo and stream next day on Peacock.

“It’s upsetting that there’s a lot of tit for tat going on,” Melissa told E! News on December 8. “It’s starting to feel like people are using things as ways to win the audience over… I don’t like that. I don’t respect that as much.”

What she does respect is how The Real Housewives of Orange County cast handles conflict. “I was just talking to Tamra [Judge], and I have to say I respect the OC cast because she was just saying that they can get in a knockdown, drag-out fight, but they leave it,” Melissa said. “They leave it there, they leave it at home, and they don’t continue the chaos on social media. And I have to say The Real Housewives of New Jersey is not great at that. They really continue the chaos.”

That said, there is a big difference when family is involved. “There’s deeper feelings and it’s rough, but it is what it is at this point,” Melissa added. “It’s just a sad situation.”

She’s staying hopeful, though — especially when it comes to RHONJ’s upcoming season.

“I always hope it’s gonna help and I truly do from all angles,” Melissa told Us Weekly after being asked if watching the episodes back will allow everyone to see each other’s perspectives and reconcile. “But sometimes it doesn’t because we end up on that couch in the reunion wanting to go crazy.”

Teresa, for her part, is already looking forward to the reunion. Addressing the drama on her podcast in October — specifically, Joe stating that he expects his stand-up career to last longer than her marriage to Luis “Louie” Ruelas — she said, “I just wish that [Joe] would stop talking about us to try to make himself relevant. This is the last time I’m talking about this, because there’s gonna be a lot of things addressed, obviously, at the reunion. And then, after that, I’m done.”
