Melissa Gorga and Margaret Josephs Preview “Crazy” and “Raw” RHONJ Season 13 (UPDATED)
Find out what to expect from Teresa Giudice, Joe Gorga, and more on The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 13.
UPDATED (December 12, 1:33 p.m.): After first teasing The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 13 at BravoCon 2022, Melissa Gorga and Margaret Josephs gave fans even more reasons to be excited in a new interview. Plus, hear what Andy Cohen, Teresa Giudice, and more have to say about the upcoming season!
The Potential for Reconciliation
Melissa told Us Weekly on December 7 that she’s hopeful the new season will help mend her and Joe Gorga’s strained relationship with Teresa. “I always hope it’s gonna help and I truly do from all angles,” Melissa said after being asked if watching the episodes back will allow them to see each other’s perspectives and reconcile. “But sometimes it doesn’t because we end up on that couch in the reunion wanting to go crazy.”
Asked the same question, Margaret responded, “To be seen, maybe… Truthfully, I don’t know.”
Regardless, Margaret is “excited” for the new season. “You know what? I love when our season airs. I feel like the way the fans do — I'm excited,” she said. “I can’t wait to see it again. I mean, not to relive every moment, but I can’t wait.”
Teresa Giudice and Joe Gorga
Both siblings have made it clear they’re not on good terms, and while it’s not yet known how their drama will play out on Season 13, Teresa did share a prediction for the eventual reunion during an October episode of her podcast.
“I just wish that [Joe] would stop talking about us to try to make himself relevant,” she said, referring to herself and her husband, Luis “Louie” Ruelas, after Joe stated that he expects his stand-up career to last longer than their marriage. “This is the last time I’m talking about this, because there’s gonna be a lot of things addressed, obviously, at the reunion. And then, after that, I’m done.”
Margaret Josephs and Jennifer Aydin
Margaret, meanwhile, teased more drama between her and Jennifer Aydin. “I made up with her genuinely. She, this year, she did not make up with me genuinely,” Margaret said at BravoCon. “She had it in for me. I’ll leave it at that. You guys will watch this season.”
“When I make up with someone and I say I’m sorry, I mean it from the heart,” Margaret added. “Some people aren’t that way. So that was a little shocking.”
Andy Cohen’s Thoughts
“By the way, very excited about the new season of [The Real Housewives of New Jersey],” Andy told Teresa on the December 6 episode of Watch What Happens Live. “It’s excellent.”
Possible Fan Reactions
Melissa told BravoCon-goers that they can expect Season 13 to be “crazy.”
“I think it’s a season that’s very telling,” she continued. “Jersey has, and I will say this, the most loyal fans of any franchise. You guys invest with us — and we appreciate that — with our families and kids. You know our children’s names. We really give it our all. It’s not just about a group of friends. It’s deep, it’s family, and the Jersey fans are hardcore and they’re amazing, and I think they’re gonna like this season.”
The new episodes won’t be all fun and games, though. Melissa added that fans are “also gonna be sad.”
“You’re gonna feel all types of emotions, because there’s a lot that goes on,” she said. “It’s very real, it’s very raw. It’s sometimes hard to watch this season. But it’s our life, right? And I think that for me personally, it’s a season that’s very real, very honest.”
Melissa Gorga’s Business
Having just opened a new location of Envy, Melissa will also get to show off her entrepreneurial side more than ever this season. “It’s so beautiful,” she said, confirming that the store will be featured on the show. “It’s in Ridgewood, New Jersey. It is such a gorgeous store. I decked it out. It’s ten times the size of the other one. It’s just a whole vibe.”
