Does Jennifer Aydin Think Teresa Should Apologize for Saying She Had No Family in Front of Melissa?

Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga aren’t exactly known to be close friends, let alone the kind that break down in tears while sharing a sentimental moment. However, that’s exactly what the pair did on the April 25 episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
The rare occurrence came during Teresa’s bachelorette party after the ladies — Melissa, Jennifer Aydin, Margaret Josephs, Dolores Catania, Danielle Cabral, Rachel Fuda, Jackie Goldschneider, and Jennifer Fessler — were tasked with painting their “happy” memories of the bride-to-be. Melissa decided to pay tribute to Teresa and Joe Gorga’s parents and their homeland of Italy, and while admiring the painting, she and Teresa began crying.
“It’s like the way we started. We were so happy,” Teresa said in a confessional interview. “We were a happy, beautiful family, and [my parents] always instilled in us ‘love each other.’”
Teresa and Melissa hugged it out, and at one point, there was even talk of Melissa and Joe’s son, Gino, potentially being in Teresa and Luis “Louie” Ruelas’ wedding. However, things took a turn when the group decided to grab lunch. Why? Because when revealing that Louie had asked Bill Aydin to be in the wedding, Teresa said of him and Jennifer, “They’ve been so supportive since day one, and it was just nice, ’cause I don’t have family.”
Melissa then told the RHONJ cameras, “This is why it’s very hard for me to believe that she really wanted Gino to be in her wedding, because in her next breath she’s literally saying, ‘I have no family.’ It’s like, this is why we don’t believe you.”
Jennifer, meanwhile, shared during Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on April 25 that Teresa’s comment likely wasn’t meant to be a dig. “I don’t think she realized she was doing it,” Jennifer explained after host Andy Cohen asked if Teresa should “apologize” for her words. “And if you know Teresa, you know that to be true.”
The other ladies weren’t convinced. On The Real Housewives of New Jersey After Show, Jackie admitted that she wasn’t “super touched” by the sweet moment Teresa and Melissa shared in the first place. And looking to the future, “I think that Melissa would be fine living forever without Teresa,” Jackie said. “She’s not that invested.”
