Joe Gorga Reacts to Luis Ruelas Asking Bill Aydin to Be a Groomsman Weeks Before the Wedding (UPDATED)
See how the other RHONJ husbands responded to the news too.
UPDATE (April 26, 10:20 A.M.): Jennifer weighed in on Louie's decision to ask Bill to be a groomsman during the subsequent episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. "I thought it was an honor," she explained. "I thought, you know what, these people think we're very important in their lives, we've facilitated a real friendship, [and] I feel like we're gonna be in each other's future. And they asked me to be in it, [so] I feel like it was respectful toward me. I get to walk down [the aisle] with my husband!"

The original story continues below.
The drama surrounding Teresa Giudice and Luis “Louie” Ruelas’ upcoming wedding continued on the April 25 episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, but this time it didn’t directly involve Teresa or Melissa Gorga. Instead, Jennifer Aydin’s husband, Dr. Bill Aydin, was the center of discussion.
Why? Because Louie asked him to be a groomsman despite the nuptials being just two weeks away.
Naturally, Teresa’s brother, Joe Gorga — who, like his wife, Melissa, wasn’t asked to be in the wedding — was surprised to hear the news. As he told Bill when the two came face-to-face during guys’ night, “No disrespect to you, [but] you’re an afterthought.”
“Like, ‘We got no one else, let’s throw in Bill and Jen,’” Joe continued in a confessional, referencing the fact that Teresa also asked Jennifer to be a bridesmaid at the last minute. “OK, no big deal. I thought the mailman was next.”
Bill, meanwhile, said he and Jennifer were “OK” with the situation. And though Joe didn’t press the issue any further at that moment, he did bring it up in front of the rest of the RHONJ husbands after Bill suggested he “smoke weed and have a heart-to-heart talk” with Teresa to sort out their issues once and for all.
“He’s in the wedding,” Joe said to the group, prompting collective shock from Margaret Josephs’ husband, Joe Benigno; Danielle Cabral’s husband, Nate Cabral; Rachel Fuda’s husband, John Fuda; Dolores Catania’s ex-husband, Frank Catania; and Jackie Goldschneider’s husband, Evan Goldschneider.
Several of the men then weighed in, including John. “If you don’t ask me from the beginning, then hey, anything after [that], doors are closed,” he said. “I mean, you missed the bus.”
Bill, for his part, took the reaction in stride, jokingly telling the group, “F--k you all.”
The discussion ended there, but as RHONJ fans are surely aware, the wedding drama is far from over. And while there wasn’t talk of the bridesmaid dispute on the latest episode, there was plenty of lingering tension between Teresa and Melissa after the disagreement they had on the bus ride back from their shopping day when Rachel asked them a question about their family dynamic. As Melissa told her husband on RHONJ’s prior episode, “At this point, I just feel so far gone from her, I’m not sure we belong at the wedding.”
