Teresa Giudice’s August wedding to Luis “Louie” Ruelas was all about “love, love, love,” and the day was made even more special by the fact that their respective children were involved.

Louie’s sons, Nicholas and Louie Jr., were by his side when The Real Housewives of New Jersey OG walked down the aisle during the Teresa Gets Married wedding special on May 23, while Teresa’s daughters — Gia, Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana — donned blush pink gowns to be four of her bridesmaids on the big day.

In addition to taking on special roles during their mom’s nuptials, the girls also appeared together in a confessional on the special to react to their mother’s now-famous wedding-day hairstyle. 

“Obviously, it’s big. Like, Queen Elizabeth probably has a crown like that,” Gia said, while Gabriella agreed, adding, “110%.” She also joked that the half-up hairdo resembled a “rat’s nest.”

“It looks like you have 20 pounds of hair on your head,” Milania told her mom on the morning of the ceremony, while Gia said it was “so beautiful.”

Later on in the special, the sisters reflected on their mom’s “fairy-tale” wedding, and they gave the couple a blessing during the reception.

The girls’ father, Joe Giudice, also had a bit of a presence on his ex-wife’s wedding day. During a chat with Us Weekly, Louie revealed that he called the Bahamas resident on the morning of the wedding to share a special message about bringing their families together.

“I called [Joe], basically just let him know that everything’s gonna be OK — that we’re a team,” Louie explained about why it was important for him to call Teresa’s ex on their big day. “It felt right to call him and talk to him because he’s a good father. He definitely makes lemonade outta lemons, and it’s something that people don’t see out there. And I just wanted to acknowledge that for him.”

Louie and Teresa also plan to spend time with Joe and their daughters in the Bahamas soon. The idea, as Teresa told Us Weekly, was all Louie’s, and it came after the newlyweds went out to dinner with Joe and the kids.

“I’m so happy we did [it]. It made my daughter so happy. And I was like, ‘Thank you so much for doing that.’ It wasn’t my idea, it was [Louie’s]. So [Louie] gets to take the credit for it. But then after I did it, I’m like, ‘Thank you,’ because they really made the girls so happy.”
