Here's How the RHONY Cast Supported Ramona Singer After Her Lyme Diagnosis
"They've rallied around me," said the Real Housewives of New York City mom.
Ramona Singer recently revealed that she has been diagnosed with Lyme Disease. The Real Housewives of New York City mom has since explained that she’s feeling much better after taking antibiotics prescribed by her doctor, and that her fellow cast members were super supportive from the beginning.
In an interview with EXTRA, Ramona opened up about how the ladies were there for her in an uncertain time.
“We all interact through a group text,” Ramona said. “When they found out I had Lyme disease, they were all very supportive and said, ‘Be careful.’ You know, that’s the one thing about the group of us… We may fight like crazy people sometimes and get angry, but when someone is down and out, we really for each other, so they’ve rallied around me.”
Ramona also explained that the Lyme diagnosis means that she must do everything she can to avoid contracting coronavirus (COVID-19).
“I’m isolating and I’m very blessed to be in a beautiful place in Florida on the oceanfront. If I’m going to isolate, this is the best way, because with my Lyme disease, my immunity is really non-existent and god forbid I get the virus,” she said.
Besides isolation, Ramona’s doctor has given her a few daily precautions to practice.
“He tells me to wash my hands up to my elbows, and for a minute. So I’m doing that,” said Ramona. “Whenever I leave the condo, I take a paper towel or something. And I don’t touch any outside doors, I don’t touch any knobs, any elevators, and I’m staying away from people.”
