Ashley Darby Reveals a Major Update on Her Divorce
RHOP’s Ashley Darby revealed how the proceedings are going amid questions from her fellow cast members.
The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 7 premiere shed some light on Ashley Darby’s recently announced separation from Michael Darby, and she elaborated even more on the split during a subsequent appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
“I am six months into my separation, and in the state of Virginia, it takes a year,” Ashley explained. “So I have six more months to go.”
In the meantime, the former couple is still “cohabitating,” as Andy put it. However, Ashley made it clear that they’re no longer romantically involved. Should they be, “that actually negates your separation,” Ashley noted. “I’m not a lawyer, but I learned that.”
In fact, she said she’s “learned a lot” throughout this admittedly “difficult” period of her life. “Some days I do want to be with him, other days I question it,” Ashley added. “So I’m not super concrete in it. I’m going through an emotional roller coaster every day. I cry all the time.”
“I love him still,” she continued. “[He’s the] father of my children and still a great guy, just ultimately not the man for me.”
So what exactly caused the split then? According to Ashley, RHOP Season 7 will apparently reveal all. “There was one thing,” she revealed, “and I do talk about it on the show. [It was] just kind of the straw that broke the camel’s back.”
