One of Sonja Morgan's Famous Loves Confirms Their Past Romance: "I'd Rather Not Discuss It Right Now"
John McEnroe recalled dating RHONY's Sonja Morgan during his appearance on WWHL.
If you know Sonja Morgan, you know that she surrounds herself with a fabulous group of people, especially when it comes to romantic partners. The list of famous men The Real Housewives of New York City renaissance woman has been linked to includes Prince Albert of Monaco, Owen Wilson, and Jack Nicholson, just to name a few.
But stop the presses, because one of Sonja's rumored flames has just confirmed their past relationship, and now we're dying to know every detail.
John McEnroe said he and Sonja did, in fact, once date during his appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen Thursday night (clip above). "Yes, I do. I do recall. I believe that did happen," the tennis legend said. "But I'd rather not discuss it right now because my wife and my daughter are here. It's OK with my daughter, but my wife, I'm not so sure."
This relationship happened sometime before Sonja married John Adams Morgan in 1998, likely in between McEnroe's marriages to Tatum O'Neal, to whom he was married from 1986 to 1994, and his current wife Patty Smyth, whom he married in 1997. Smyth was in the WWHL audience with one of her children with McEnroe, 23-year-old daughter Anna McEnroe.
Since Sonja's divorce from her husband in 2006, she has been an extremely active participant in the New York dating scene, as we've seen on RHONY through the years. Her paramours have become household names in their own right, from Harry Dubin to Tom D'Agostino to Rocco to "Frenchie."
Sonja got her flirt on with another famous athlete during an appearance on WWHL in May 2018, Keith Hernandez. The legendary Mets star also revealed that he once dated another New York Housewife, Luann de Lesseps. Well, this wouldn't be the first time the ladies of the Big Apple bunch had their eye on the same man...
