Madison LeCroy Details When She Found Out Austen Kroll and Lindsay Hubbard Had Hooked Up

In Season 1 of Winter House, we learned that Austen Kroll and Lindsay Hubbard had been more than just friends. Though they decided to keep things strictly platonic between them as Austen pursued a romance with Ciara Miller in Vermont, they later ended up having some makeout sessions when Austen visited the Summer House in Season 6.

Prior to this, Austen had notably been in an on-again, off-again relationship with Madison LeCroy. So when Madison appeared with Venita Aspen on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on July 14, Andy Cohen read a question from a fan who wanted to know if Madison had any idea how close Austen and Lindsay were. “You know, that’s funny you ask, because I thought, I was like, ‘There is something going on,’” Madison recalled. “And he said, ‘No, no, no. She’s just, like, a bro. She’s a friend.’”

Madison went on to say that she didn’t find out until later that Austen had been hooking up with Lindsay while Madison and Austen were in a “gray area” in their relationship. “We were always in a gray area, if we want to be honest,” Madison said.

She also admitted she had been “doing [her] thing” when it came to seeing other people at the time. But knowing that something romantic was going on between Austen and Lindsay would have changed things, according to Madison. “He would tell me they would get drinks and hang out in the city when he would come visit,” she said. “And if I would’ve known they were hooking up, I wouldn’t have answered the phone.”

After Madison confirmed that she does not have a relationship with Lindsay, Andy pointed out, “OK, well, you’ll be seeing her at BravoCon.”

In an interview with The Daily Dish earlier this week, Madison shared her reaction to all the drama surrounding Austen on Winter House and Summer House. “Oh, I totally get my popcorn, and I enjoy every bit of it. I feel validated in every single thing that I’ve ever done,” she said. “And honestly, it was just really nice to see his true colors pan out and for other people to understand, like, where I was coming from, which, you know, now it was out there. And that’s who he is.”

During the same conversation, Venita also said she felt Madison was vindicated. “I’m just cheering on from the sidelines, OK, because for me it was just like, OK, so all the things that Madison was saying [are] true, and now people get to actually see that, like, this is how Austen actually is,” Venita shared. “So it was very refreshing for everyone else to now see who Austen truly is.”
