Naomie Olindo Isn’t the Only Ex Craig Conover Hooked Up With Before Southern Charm Season 8
Naomie also revealed how she really feels about Paige DeSorbo in the Southern Charm Season 8 premiere.
What happened in Vegas didn’t stay in Vegas for Craig Conover and Naomie Olindo.
In the Southern Charm Season 8 premiere, which aired on June 23, it was revealed that the exes had met up while they were both in Las Vegas with different friend groups prior to the start of the season.
Leva Bonaparte first brought up the rendezvous while she was on the phone with Naomie (clip above), who then explained in an interview during the episode, “Two months ago, I went to Vegas with some friends. And it just so happened that Leva was also there with her family, and Craig was also there with some of his friends on a totally separate trip. So, yeah, I mean, we met up.”
Later in the episode, Craig also mentioned his Sin City reunion with Naomie while on the phone with Kathryn Dennis. “We were both out in Vegas at the same time, and we definitely hung out and we had some fun,” Craig explained.
“Did you guys hook up?” Kathryn asked Craig, who replied, “Yeah, yeah.”
It was around this time that Craig started seeing Paige DeSorbo. “And I felt bad because she was a little bummed that I was starting to see someone else,” Craig said of Naomie. “If it was up to her, we definitely would’ve started to hang out again.”
In anticipation of Paige accompanying Craig to Kathryn’s 30th birthday party, Naomie told Leva and Venita Aspen, “If they are together, I mean, that would be fine.”
“We got together. It’s not a big deal,” Naomie added in an interview in the episode. “Or is it? I don’t know.”
When Leva asked if Naomie still had feelings for Craig, she shared, “We had, like, a very, very deep love for each other, the biggest love I’ve had in my life. And it doesn’t just go away.”
Someone who definitely had feelings about Craig and Naomie hooking up was Austen Kroll, who said he was “f--king stunned” to learn during the “Great Katsby” party that they had briefly rekindled their romance. “Craig is supposed to be my best friend, but this just goes to show you where Craig and I’s relationship has gone to,” Austen said of the rumors about Craig and Naomie. “I was telling Shep [Rose] that had never happened. I was telling everyone, 'No, no, no. They just had lunch. I would know. I would know.’ Austen would not know, clearly.”
Craig explained why he didn’t want to tell Austen that he had hooked up with Naomie. “I never lied to you,” he said. "I couldn’t tell you ’cause you’d tell everyone.”
However, Austen said he has been nothing but a good friend to Craig. “One of these days, dude, you’re gonna wake the f--k up and realize I’m your biggest goddamn advocate, and I’m your goddamn brother,” he told Craig.
Austen and Craig did not see eye to eye on the state of their friendship, which was in dire straits, as Craig opened up to John Pringle earlier in the episode. According to Craig, Austen had been “very envious” lately. “Like, where it started was in the spring. I was newly single because me and Natalie broke up,” Craig shared. “So now it’s summer. I’ve been hanging out with Paige, but we’re not exclusive, and I had, like, rebounded with Natalie, which only happened twice. And I told Austen about it. But what Austen didn’t know is I called Paige and told her.”
Craig said that during one of Paige’s visits to Charleston, Austen became angry with him and revealed that Craig had hooked up with Natalie the other night. However, Paige wasn’t upset and informed Austen that she was already aware of that. “If Austen walked in right now, I’d hang with him,” Craig said, before noting, “The problem is, like, I don’t tell him secrets anymore, I don’t trust him anymore.”
John sarcastically yet wisely pointed out that those were “all the good cornerstones of a good friendship.”
We’ll have to wait and see how things pan out for the Southern Charm crew since this season is just getting started. Check out what’s to come, below.
