Amanda Batula Shares an Update on Her Recent Health Issues

Amanda Batula has a positive update to share about her health. 

For context, on the February 27 episode of Summer House Season 7, the 31-year-old told fellow cast members Paige DeSorbo, Mya Allen, Danielle Olivera, Ciara Miller, Gabby Prescod, and Samantha Feher that she wasn't sure when she would be able to have kids with husband Kyle Cooke. As she explained, she had not gotten her period at all after she went off of birth control the prior fall. She told the ladies that she was "nervous" to see a doctor in the event that her fertility had been affected. 

"You grow up, and you just think that you get married and you get pregnant and you have kids, and everything goes [according to plan]. I just never thought that I would be in this situation, where there’s a chance [that] it’s not just going to happen immediately and naturally," she told the women during their daytime tea party.

Many months after the summer concluded, Amanda appeared on the March 13 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, and she revealed that her health had improved following her time in the Hamptons.

"My health is a lot better... Everything's flowing the way it should," Amanda told host Andy Cohen on the late night talk series. "Yeah, I'm flowing."

Amanda didn't elaborate any further on her health on WWHL, but her husband opened up about what she went through last summer during an appearance on Page Six's Reali-Tea podcast.

“There’s obviously a lot more to it than what made it into the [show],” Kyle said on the podcast. “It breaks my heart.”

He also explained that, in addition to losing weight from going off of birth control, Amanda also went on an acne medication that had the same side effect.

"It was tough because she’s going through the weight loss, she’s going through the acne, and oh, by the way, what’s going on with her menstrual cycle and her fertility," Kyle shared on the podcast, before adding that he appreciated the other ladies for taking the time to talk to Amanda about what she was going through.
