Danielle Olivera Was “Really Nervous” to Meet Gabby Prescod Because of Their Shared Ex (EXCLUSIVE)

When fashion director Gabby Prescod made her Summer House debut on the Season 7 premiere, she shared that she wasn’t ready to get back in the dating world because she was still hurt by her ex, who she said had cheated on her repeatedly throughout their relationship.

“So the last relationship I was in, we dated for four years, fresh out of college. I come to find out that he was cheating on me for three years,” Gabby said in an interview on the show. “After that, I didn’t really have a real relationship again. I consider myself to be a very confident person, and when that happened, it made me reassess Cancer men.”

On the third episode, Gabby revealed that one of the women her ex had “actively” cheated on her with was none other than Danielle Olivera — who didn’t know that the man in question already had a girlfriend when they went out.

Though Gabby and Danielle could have gotten off on the wrong foot thanks to their unique connection, the fashion-forward castmates bonded over it instead. They chatted about the unfortunate “overlap” in their respective relationships with the same guy, and they laughed about Gabby’s decision to post about his alleged indiscretions on his social media pages following their breakup. They cemented their newfound friendship by sharing a toast at the table on Episode 3.

During a recent chat with The Daily Dish, Danielle shared that she actually had been a bit worried about getting to know Gabby.

“With Gabby, I was like, ‘I don’t know how she’s gonna [and] how we’re both gonna handle this,’” Danielle explained about the newbie. “I hope it’s with open arms, but she could hate me. She could very well, like, really, really hate me. So I was really nervous about that.”

The Brooklyn resident couldn’t have been more pleased with how their first meeting ended up going.

“I love her attitude about it all,” Danielle continued. “And it just goes to show just [that] females can rule the world.”
