Eddie Judge Is "Thankful" He Gets to Share This Part of His Life on RHOC
Tamra Judge's husband opens up about living his life in front of the world.
Fans have watched Tamra Judge and Eddie Judge's journey together for nearly a decade on The Real Housewives of Orange County, and there have definitely been emotional highs and lows throughout their relationship. One of their biggest hardships these last couple years has been Eddie's health issues as he dealt with an AFib diagnosis, and it wasn't something they shied away from when it came time to document their lives for all the world to see on RHOC.
"I was a little nervous to show it on national television 'cause I didn't know what I was gonna do," Eddie recently told The Daily Dish. "But I am thankful that I had the opportunity. In fact, it's still nowadays the first thing they ask me on the street. It's not, 'How's your wife?' It's, 'How's your health?'"
Tamra, who also spoke to The Daily Dish during the same interview several weeks back about his AFib journey, joked, "I'm an extra now."
All kidding aside, Tamra mirrored Eddie's sentiment in what it's been like to give fans an inside peek at how Eddie and the couple have coped with his health. "I think more than anything you're thankful that Bravo chose to show [your] journey with AFib on national television. And now so many people are coming up to him, and us, and talking about their journey with AFib. So we really brought a lot of awareness to it. And, you know, on Housewives they normally just want to show the drama, and this was really nice of them to show that part of our life."
As for how he's doing these days, when he spoke to The Daily Dish in September, he noted that while he does have one more procedure to undergo, possibly in 2020 (it would assist in him not having to take blood thinners for the rest of his life): "Well, as far as I'm concerned I'm back to normal as of last week. I was able to ride 100 miles on my bike and that made me feel good."
The RHOC husband, trainer, and fitness expert continued, "I think the biggest change in my life is that I'm a lot more cognizant of everybody's heart. As a trainer, I'm always considering everybody else and their fitness, their health, their wellness. I'm just in that space, so it's really important for me to see how everybody's doing teaching my classes. So it's really helped me help my clients and really understand the vulnerability we have with our hearts. We really are not made out of steel. We really are vulnerable."
