Taylor Armstrong Doesn’t Trust Heather Dubrow

Though she’s relatively new to the acting game, Taylor Armstrong has made it clear she’s taking the craft quite seriously — and has no plans to stop.

“Building up my IMDb credits,” The Real Housewives of Orange County mom wrote in a June 30 Instagram Story. “I may have been born in the 1900’s but I’m acting in the 2020’s.”

The post was an apparent response to those who’ve dismissed Taylor’s fledgling actor career, as it highlighted three “upcoming” projects listed on her IMDb profile: psychological thriller Masterpiece, action flick The Squad/Miami, and drama film Guardians.

Taylor’s film career is at the center of RHOC drama

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum announced her first movie role back in February, more than a decade after she began her reality TV career. She addressed the exciting new chapter on Episode 2 of RHOC’s Season 17, which saw her seeking advice from Heather Dubrow — the RHOC castmate who began securing small-screen acting roles in the 1990s.

Taylor initially asked Heather to help her prepare for the aforementioned Masterpiece project and eventually offered her a role in the film. Heather later explained she was put off by the proposal, as it came from Taylor rather than an official casting director. To no one’s surprise, the exchange caused some drama between the RHOC ’Wives, as Taylor accused Heather of being dismissive and unsupportive.

Taylor and Heather’s casting dispute intensifies

“I’m not angry with Heather,” Taylor said on Episode 4. “I’m not pissed off, my feelings are hurt. It’s my first movie role and she’s acting like, ‘Eh, poo poo.’”

The tensions escalated after Taylor admitted to analyzing Heather’s IMDb page, a move that Heather described as “incredibly rude.”

Taylor referenced the drama in a June 30 Instagram post that included photos from her June 28 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen: “IMDb also stands for I am dat bitch,” she captioned the carousel.

Taylor shed more light on the feud during her Clubhouse sit-down, explaining why the film’s production team wanted Heather to submit an audition tape despite her many years of experience.

“I think that was a big misunderstanding, because Heather was under the impression that I was the lead actress, and I’m much farther down the food chain than that,” Taylor said. “And it was [a] first for me, so I did an actual audition for them.”
