The RHOC rookie is heading to Oklahoma City for a surprising new project.

Taylor Armstrong is set to appear on Season 17 of The Real Housewives of Orange County, making her the first Housewife to switch franchises. (Before her stint on  The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip Ex-Wives Club, Taylor was introduced to Bravo audiences as one of the OG cast members of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.) In a recent Instagram post, Taylor announced another first.

The February 9 share showed the Oklahoma native posing in front of a dreamy sky. “Watching the California sunset before this Oklahoma girl heads to film my first movie in OKC!” she wrote. Whether it’s the twilight or that new-movie-star glow, Taylor looks radiant in the sunlit selfie:

While we wait for more details on that forthcoming film, the California mom has teased some details about her RHOC debut.

“You will see [my daughter] Kennedy this season on RHOC,” Taylor said in response to a fan’s question during a Q&A on her Instagram Stories in December. “Hard to believe she turned 4 on season one of RHOBH and she’s 16 now.”

Longtime Bravo fans will remember Kennedy’s 4th birthday bash, which was featured on the show in 2010. Indeed, it’s hard to believe that the little girl who once inspired lavish tea parties is now old enough to drive a car.

Taylor previously shared more news on her teenage daughter. “She’s an incredible athlete,” the proud mama said. “It’s been so fun watching her grow… She’s beautiful and smart, and funny, and I couldn’t be more blessed.”

Of course, Taylor has bravely shared that her past wasn’t all tea parties. In 2012, she opened up about her book, Hiding from Reality, which documents her struggles with domestic violence.

Hiding from Reality is doing its job: to take domestic abuse out of the shadows and shine the light of awareness on this national tragedy,” Taylor said. “I wrote the book to show victims a way forward and the courage to take the first steps out of their own nightmares.”
