Teddi Shared Dove Is No Longer Wearing a Helmet by Posting the Cutest Photo
RHOBH alum Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave revealed the latest in her daughter's journey.
We have some big news to report on Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave's 1-year-old daughter, Dove Arroyave. Almost a year after Dove underwent a corrective procedure for Lambdoid Craniosynostosis last July, the helmet she was wearing for her treatment is officially off after she started wearing it last fall. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum shared the update when she posted the sweetest photo of little Dove.
"Today is a big day in our house. Our little boss baby Dove is helmet free," Teddi wrote on Tuesday (June 8). "I am in awe of her strength and resilience. She underwent neurosurgery and never made a peep about having to wear her Doc band 23/7 for over a year! We love you so very much."
Teddi then offered up some wisdom for any other parents who may be going through a similar experience, writing, "My biggest piece of advice is always trust your gut and remember you are your [kids'] biggest advocate."
The big news was met with love and support from Teddi's pals, who flooded her comments section. "Dove!!!!! This is the best news!!!!!!" Crystal Kung Minkoff wrote. Kyle Richards posted several heart emojis along with, "Yay!!!!!!" Dorit Kemsley posted a similar response along with applause and celebratory emojis. Lisa Rinna added, "YAY!!!!!! OH HAPPY DAY!!!"
In other Dove news, back in May, Teddi shared another update on her youngest child. "Molars are coming in hot! It’s been 6 years since the teething fun happened with Cruz. What are the latest and greatest ways to help take away the ouchies from baby Dove?" she wrote, adding "we are tired" and "Dove is grumpy."
Weeks before that, Teddi shared, "She is walking and talking and already has her fave words: NO, MAMA, DADA, WOWOWs (aka dogs). She loves to laugh, be the boss (wonder where she got that from) and throw major fits anytime she doesn’t get what she wants (aka being a kid)."
And, of course, Teddi has nothing but love for all of her kids. And she recently made that clear on Instagram over Mother's Day weekend when she shared, "These faces and hearts have changed my life in ways I could have never imagined. I would do anything to keep you safe, laughing, learning and cuddling. Love you so much even though I asked you to let me sleep in until 7am and you woke me up at 6:02am!"
