Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave Shares How Dove Is Doing 4 Weeks After Neurosurgery
The RHOBH mom offered an update on her six-month-old baby’s post-op recovery.
Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave is revealing how her daughter, Dove, is doing nearly a month after she underwent neurosurgery for a cranial condition. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member offered a positive update on her baby’s recovery process, confirming that the six-month-old is “healing amazingly.”
On August 28, Teddi took to her Instagram Stories to share the results from Dove’s latest doctor appointment. “She is almost four weeks post-surgery,” she explained in a brief clip. “Her incision is healing amazingly, and now, she is going in to be fitted for a helmet next week.”
The mom of three went on to share what the rest of Dove’s post-op recovery will look like, explaining, “Of course, I asked how long she needs to be in the helmet, and they said probably around 6 months. After that, she will just go in once a year and get CT scans to make sure she will not need any additional surgeries.”
For now, Teddi revealed that Dove is doing well and getting plenty of rest. “She really only ventures out for doctors appts and walks,” she wrote alongside a sweet video of Dove smiling.
After previously revealing that Dove had been diagnosed with Lambdoid Craniosynostosis, Teddi confirmed that her baby had completed the necessary corrective procedure on July 31. “Thank you for all your prayers. Baby Dove had a successful surgery,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “So much gratitude to her amazing surgeons Dr. Danielpour and Dr. Urata and all the loving nurses that will continue to help us care for her as she recovers. We are forever grateful.”
