Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave Dishes on Her Third Pregnancy: "It Was a Complete Surprise"
Unlike her first two pregnancies, Teddi did not undergo IVF to conceive her third child.
Every pregnancy is special, but Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave's third time expecting will be a particularly unique experience for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills accountability coach.
You see, Teddi and her husband, Edwin Arroyave, underwent IVF in order to conceive their first two children, daughter Slate, 6, and son Cruz, 5. “My husband said, ‘I don’t want to see you going through IVF again — that was brutal,’” Teddi told Us Weekly. “It was so many rounds, but this time we really weren’t doing anything! I was on vacation! Just having fun with my family! It was a complete surprise. I didn’t even know I was because I didn’t have a regular cycle.”
Of course, Teddi and her husband, who is also a dad to 10-year-old daughter Isabella from a previous relationship, are "over the moon" to be welcoming another little one.
Teddi has long said that she would love to have another child one day. However, she wasn't sure if she could go through some of the more painful moments of her previous pregnancies again, including a scary delivery for her son in which he ended up in the NICU and was diagnosed with a heart condition, which Teddi opened up about on RHOBH in Season 8 (clip above). "I had multiple miscarriages before Cruz and the IVF process was very hard for me and I am not sure I can go through it again," Teddi shared on Instagram in 2018. "I feel very blessed with the kiddos we have."
