Teresa Giudice Opens up About "Super Smart" Daughter Gabriella's College Plans
"She’s going to be able to get into any school she wants," The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom gushed.
With one child already in college, Teresa Giudice is thinking about what the future holds for the rest of her daughters, including second eldest Gabriella.
And the future definitely looks bright for the 15-year-old, according to her mom. “She’s a [high school] freshman, but she’s, like, super smart,” Teresa told Page Six at BravoCon last month. “She’s amazing. She’s in all honors classes. So I think she’s going to be able to get into any school she wants.”
Though Teresa shared that Gabriella hasn't started looking at colleges just yet, she definitely has a great role model in big sister Gia, 18, who still hopes to pursue a career as a lawyer. “What mom wouldn’t [want a lawyer in the family]?” Teresa said, noting that Gia "doesn't know which kind" of law she's interested in practicing just yet.
Teresa also told Page Six that she's glad to see her daughter doing so well in her first year away from home at Rutgers University in New Jersey. “I’m happy for her,” Teresa said. “You know, this is her new chapter in her life, and I’m living vicariously through her ’cause I wasn’t allowed to go away. She FaceTimes me all the time. I love it. We’re really close.”
Of course, this has been a tough time for the Giudice family as they continue to await the fate of patriarch Joe Giudice, who is currently in Italy while a judge decides if he will be deported to his native country. Teresa and Joe's daughter Milania, 13, previously used music as an outlet to cope with her father's absence, releasing her first single "I Can't Wait to Grow Up" last season of RHONJ. “I think she’s taking a break with the whole song thing,” Teresa shared an update with Page Six. “She’s like, ‘Mommy, I think I’m going take a break now.’ She’s like, ‘Maybe I’ll revisit it when I’m 18.’ I thought that was so cute.”
Teresa, Gia, Gabriella, Milania, and youngest daughter Audriana, 10, reunited with Joe in Italy for the first time since he was released from custody in November. The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom previously shared during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen last month that her daughters plan to see Joe again around Christmastime, while she likely won't get to visit him until the summer due to work obligations.
