The Real Housewives of Potomac Cast Promises Season 5 Will Be "Worth the Wait"

You know how they say good things come to those who wait? Well, that is most certainly the case with the new season of The Real Housewives of Potomac.

Though Season 5 of RHOP will now premiere this summer, the Potomac Housewives promise it will be "worth the wait."

Gizelle Bryant recently teased on Instagram that the new season "is sooo fire." "Can’t wait for you guys to see it. Thank you for your continued love and support!" she wrote. "Stay healthy and stay safe! We’ll be in touch with a new date ASAP."

Karen Huger, Ashley Darby, and Robyn Dixon also shared similar sentiments on Instagram when they announced to RHOP fans, "Due to these unprecedented times, we have to push the new season until the summer."

Prepare for "EVERYTHING you have been wanting and MORE" when the new season arrives, according to Candiace Dillard Bassett, who teased "so many surprises," "shockers," "shifts," and "rifts." "It’s allllllllll going to be worth the wait!!!" she said on Instagram. "I would not lie to you."

The newest Potomac Housewife, Wendy Osefo, also assured us that we can expect "friendships, drama, scandal, and sisterhood" from Season 5 of RHOP. "So excited for you all to watch!" she shared on Instagram. "Stay tuned."

Andy Cohen, who is an executive producer of The Real Housewives, addressed RHOP's new premiere date on Twitter on April 23. "It’s a smart decision. The virus has shifted production schedules for all our shows," he said. "There are currently two great Housewives series running. Would rather have fresh content later than none."
