Tinsley Mortimer Says Dorinda Medley "Turned" on Her After a "Horrific" Off-Camera Moment

The Real Housewives of New York City ladies get to the root of their drama during the Season 12 reunion.

By Laura Rosenfeld

It seemed like Tinsley Mortimer and Dorinda Medley just could not get along in Season 12 of The Real Housewives of New York City. However, it was never really clear what caused the tension between the two of them, especially considering the fact that they had gotten along so well in the past.

So, Andy Cohen tried to get to the bottom of their issues when he sat down with all of the New York Housewives in Part 1 of the RHONY Season 12 reunion on September 10. "I believe half of what I hear in life and all of what I see. And you guys saw just what was on the show," Dorinda explained during the sit-down. "There was a lot of stuff, Tinsley, that went on."

Tinsley then shared where she felt a shift in their friendship, and it involved an argument she said they had concerning Tinsley's now-fiancé Scott Kluth and Dorinda's ex-boyfriend John Mahdessian. "What happened was after [Scott and I had] been broken up, when we were in Miami, this was Season 11, you and I got in this horrific fight that was not on camera because I had told you that Scott had generously given John some money, which you did not known about," Tinsley said.

Dorinda said that she didn't know what Tinsley was referring to and said she "never got involved with John's finances."

Tinsley continued, "The point is the betrayal that you felt from John manifested itself in anger towards me. You took it out on me. You turned on me that moment you found out John had that money, and that is what happened."

The reunion then aired some previously unseen footage from Season 11 of RHONY in which Dorinda appears to be talking to John on the phone during the ladies' trip to Miami as Sonja Morgan looks on. "I don't want you to talk to Scott. He is not your friend," Dorinda said. "So when I say to you don't do something, you better f--king well listen."

Back on the reunion couches, Tinsley continued to express her confusion over Dorinda's seemingly negative attitude toward her. "I have done nothing to you for you to hate me the way that you do," Tinsley said. "Your jealousy, your hatred, your obsession with my relationship, hey, girl, I'm engaged, we're getting married, so you can just move on."

That's where Part 1 of the RHONY Season 12 reunion ended, but it looks like Tinsley and Dorinda will have a lot more to say on the matter in Part 2.
