Tom Sandoval Sheds New Light on the Affair that Led to Their Breakup

As fans will recall, in March 2023 it was revealed that Tom and Ariana had split amid his affair. As he looks back on that time and the "intoxicating" events that led to their split, he revealed that he "very arrogantly and confidently [would have said prior that he] would never get myself into a situation like that."

Ariana and Tom Sandoval pose together in cocktail attire in front of a black step and repeat.

Despite that, he noted in the Hot Mic podcast interview "and then it just happens... I'm still in disbelief."

He's then asked by Alex would he would do differently, and, in-part, explains that while he wanted to find a way out of his relationship with Ariana regardless, "it was just hard to like go through with that."

"I should have pulled the trigger and done it," he added. "And I should have backed off when I felt feelings [for someone else] and really tried to get to the root of where those are coming from and if they're just for this person or the need to feel loved." He went on to describe the emotions of his affair "intoxicating to me."
