Did Tom Sandoval Play a Role in Katie’s Divorce? Schwartz Gets "Honest" About the Split
Tom Schwartz shared his thoughts after Katie Maloney said Tom Sandoval "interfered" with their marriage.
Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz are opening up about Tom Sandoval's involvement in their divorce.
The subject came up on Vanderpump Rules Season 11, Episode 7, when Katie got emotional while explaining, "[Sandoval] interfered with my marriage. He made everyone think I was a monster, my own ex-husband, I think."
In Episode 8, Sandoval addressed the matter with Katie. "I want to apologize to you for the way I acted last year during your divorce," he said. "I know that you were going through a lot and probably didn't need any of that extra sh-t."
More recently, Katie, Schwartz, and Sandoval clarified their stances on the topic in the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 After Show video above, Katie explained that although Sandoval "played a role in that... It's not... his fault, because Tom Schwartz allowed that."

Does Tom Schwartz think Tom Sandoval caused his divorce from Katie Maloney?
Schwartz, however, doesn't think Sandoval was part of the reason for his divorce. "I don't put any blame on you for the end of our marriage," he said to Sandoval in the clip above. "I take full responsibility for my shortcomings. I don't have anyone to really blame but myself, to be honest."
To that, Sandoval suggested, "Maybe the bar [Schwartz & Sandy's], a little bit," and Schwartz agreed. "It was so f-cking demanding, unrelenting, opening the bar," he said. "I became absorbed in that world. I wish I could have done things differently, been there for her more, but man, it just was f-cking insane."
As Vanderpump Rules viewers are aware, the bar became a point of contention between Schwartz and Katie during their marriage. In Season 10, Episode 2, Katie explained, "This bar has a very complicated history. It put a massive strain on our relationship. It just was a lot more of a presence in my life than I thought it would be without me having a say over it."
Although Katie doesn't blame Sandoval for her divorce, she shared in the After Show video above that she does feel he influenced how Schwartz thought of her. "I think [Sandoval's] negative viewpoint of me didn't help Tom [Schwartz]'s viewpoint of me," she said. "He had such a terrible view of me that Tom Schwartz, he began to share the same opinions and viewpoint."
