The Imposters Cast Says Working with Uma Thurman Was "Surreal" and "Amazing"
The #Imposters cast gushed about working with the Hollywood A-lister.
"The name's Lenny Cohen," the newest Imposters character utters to one unfortunate soul who dares to mess with her in the latest episode. The actress behind Lenny has an equally iconic name: Uma Thurman.
Naturally, Inbar Lavi, who plays Maddie on Imposters, said she was in awe of working with this Oscar-nominated actress. "I have a wonderful scene with Uma Thurman, which just felt completely surreal and was like an out-of-body experience. I don't remember much other than just how incredible it was and felt like there was electricity everywhere in the room," she gushed to The Daily Dish prior to the episode airing. "I'm such a big fan. I have such deep respect and appreciation for this woman, and there she was right in front of me. It just felt surreal."
Rob Heaps, who plays Ezra on Imposters, said he came to set the day Inbar filmed with Uma just so he could see this legend at work. "I wasn't in that day, but I went because, I've just got to see this," he told The Daily Dish. "And it was just amazing. She's really special."
Parker Young, who plays Richard on Imposters, also found Uma's appearance on the show as something of a master class in acting. "I try to soak up as much as I can of her being there," he told The Daily Dish.
Rob said that that it was especially a treat to see Uma work with Imposters co-creator Adam Brooks, who is a friend of the actress. "He was directing this episode, so it was great to see them work together. They had a real chemistry that obviously has been years in the making," he said. "She seemed really motivated. She seemed to really want to be involved, which is, again, really exciting. I can't wait to see it. I want to see it. I can't wait to see the episode."
We'll have to wait and see what future fierceness Uma brings to Imposters, although we can probably all agree that making your introduction by breaking a dude's arm is pretty much the height of badassery. That's enough to have Inbar stay mum on the subject. "I can tell you nothing! Do you want me to get in trouble with Lenny Cohen?" Inbar joked about what we can expect from Uma's Imposters character this season. "I can tell you you're going to love it."
And, as you can see from the below clip, you're going to love what's in store for Lenny and the rest of the Imposters crew this season.
