If breakup goals are a thing, Vanderpump Rules exes Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney might deserve an award.

Katie revealed at last month’s BravoCon 2022 that she is “definitely” dating, and her ex-husband has already thrown his support behind her potential new romance. Though Schwartz has yet to meet his ex’s new man, he had nothing but positive things to say in a November 5 interview with Us Weekly. 

“I hear great things and I’ve heard he’s a really nice guy. I just want Katie to be happy,” Tom told the magazine. “I’m not just saying that. I’m not trying to be a self-righteous Mr. Cool Guy. I just want Katie to be happy. I’m not the jealous type.”

Though the Schwartz & Sandy’s co-owner, who finalized his divorce on October 12 after six years of marriage, is on good terms with Katie now, he also teased that fans can expect to get a glimpse of their lower points in the upcoming Season 10 of Vanderpump Rules.

Katie Maloney Says Filming Vanderpump Rules with Tom Schwartz Had a Lot of "Awkward Moments"

“I think we hit a rough patch toward the end. We had a falling-out. But I think we’re good now,” he added in his Us Weekly interview, noting that fans will see his reaction to Katie dating. “You’ll see some of that play out. My gut reaction — it was tough, but I got to say I handled it pretty damn well. I’m very reasonable in regard to that.”

Even so, Katie insisted at BravoCon that she was still keeping things casual with finding her next boyfriend. “I wouldn’t say I’ve met him yet… I’m having fun right now,” Katie teased during the fan Q&A portion of a Vanderpump Rules panel. “I’ve just been happy.”
