How Ariana Madix Is Doing After Her Split from Tom Sandoval
Plus, Lala Kent offers an update on how the Vanderpump Rules cast is rallying around her.
News broke on March 3 that Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix had broken up after being together for more than nine years, and while Tom has issued not one but two statements about the split, Ariana has yet to publicly address it. However, her Vanderpump Rules castmates are now shedding some light on how she’s doing.
“Ariana is moving with the motion of the ocean, you know?” Lala Kent said in an Amazon Live stream on March 7, noting that she has “a really great support team behind her.”
“I know that there’s, like, a group chat with people who are saying, like, who’s coming and going and at what times,” she added. “I check in with her, obviously.”
Also among those showing their support are Katie Maloney and Scheana Shay. Though the two have been feuding in recent months, Lala said they’ve come together for Ariana’s sake. “I think everyone is just putting things aside, anybody who had differences,” she explained. “Everything is put into the background for the moment while we just rally around our friend.”
The trio is doing so publicly too. Katie took to Instagram over the weekend to share two photos of her and Ariana together, writing, “You are going to thrive like you were always meant to!”
Scheana also made a supportive post on Instagram this past weekend, hers displaying a snapshot of herself and Ariana from a previous appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. “Always got your back!” Scheana wrote, adding “Team Ariana” in the form of a hashtag.
Then, on March 7, Scheana posted a photo of her daughter, Summer, hanging out in “Auntie” Ariana’s lap. The two could also be seen cuddling up in an Instagram Story shared by Scheana while they watched a video together.
Ariana herself is currently off social media, but Lala expressed her hope that she’ll eventually “come back.”
“But you know what, I know that feeling where you just want to disconnect,” she added. “You’re like, ‘I can’t take it. I just want to feel like I’m off the grid.’”
