Tom Sandoval Apologizes to Ex Ariana Madix in New Statement After Split
The Vanderpump Rules cast member acknowledged that he “made reckless decisions” that “hurt” Ariana.
Tom Sandoval is once again speaking out about his split from Ariana Madix, but this time, his message is directed toward his ex.
Shared to Instagram late Tuesday night, the new statement comes amid continued rumors that Tom cheated on Ariana and that’s what ultimately led to the demise of their nine-year relationship.
“I want to first and foremost apologize to everyone I’ve hurt through this process. Most of all, I want to apologize to Ariana,” Tom began the statement released on March 7. “I made mistakes, I was selfish, and made reckless decisions that hurt somebody I love. No one deserves to feel that pain so traumatically and publicly.”
“I can only imagine how devastating this has been for Ariana and everyone around us,” he continued. “I feel really horrible about that. My biggest regret is that I dishonored Ariana. I never meant to disappoint so many people, including our loving families and friends.”
Looking back on their relationship, Tom said his “love for Ariana” was “stronger” than the Vanderpump Rules cameras “could ever have captured.”
“Some of our best times together were never filmed. The same goes for some of our biggest struggles,” he added. “I wish things happened in a different order and our relationship was not severely tarnished, and that it ended with the same respect for her that it began with. I owed Ariana better.”
“I am beyond sad that it ended the way it did,” Tom concluded. “The choices I made hurt so many people. I acted in a way that clashes with who and how I want to be. I will continue to reflect and work on myself. I have work to do. I always have, and I always will.”
While Ariana has yet to publicly address the split, Tom broke his silence on March 4, just one day after TMZ reported that they had broken up. In the initial statement, Tom apologized to anyone feeling “anger” or “disappointment” toward him over his role in the split, but asked that they not direct those emotions at Tom Schwartz, their other business partners, or the employees of Schwartz & Sandy’s and Tom Tom.
As for his current role in both businesses, Sandoval said, “I will be taking a step back [and] taking a hiatus out of respect for my employees [and] partners.”
However, his Vanderpump Rules castmates are not taking a step back when it comes to voicing their opinions on the split. In addition to speculating about the show’s upcoming reunion with Andy Cohen on Twitter, Lisa Vanderpump told fans she’d be sharing her thoughts during her Watch What Happens Live appearance on Wednesday, March 8.
Scheana Shay and Katie Maloney, meanwhile, have been vocally showing their support for Ariana. See their sweet messages here.
